Israel Tour - March 17-27, 2008

Welcome to the Legacy Center & Museum!

Dr. Ed Bez - Executive DirectorThe Legacy Center is a Biblical, Archaeological, & Botanical Museum which seeks to preserve and celebrate the contributions of ancient cultures of the Bible Lands.

It is a sophisticated and relaxed oasis that presents the historical, cultural, and material remains (artifacts) from ancient Israel, Egypt, Greece, Italy, Turkey, Jordan, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Cyprus, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, and other aged kingdoms.

The Museum also features inscriptional materials, handwritten, incised, etched, painted, and printed documents and manuscripts-all showing the development of writing; culminating in the one document which has shaped our world- the Bible.

Group photo (from bottom to top): Dr. Bob Bianchi, Dr. Sara Gardner, Dennis Malone, Patti Stenger, Eric Waggoner, Brian KovachThe Legacy Center displays a marvelous herbarium collection.  Specimens of the flora of the Near East have been and are currently being collected, prepared, mounted, and catalogued. This collection is the beginnings of a planned multi-acre "Bible Lands" botanical park.

Our museum programs focus on demonstrating the excitement, exhilaration, and fun that can be had by all, young and old alike, when they coming into close contact with millennia old artifacts. Lectures, seminars, workshops, guided tours, children’s hands on crafts and our permanent collections and special exhibits reacquaints people with the contribution the ancient peoples of the Bible lands have made to our Culture at large.

Our vision: To create and maintain a world-class archaeological, biblical, and botanical museum.

Our mission: To meaningfully connect people to the marvels of the ancient lands and societies of the Bible and to help people understand how we got the sacred Hebrew Bible and New Testament and why that ought to matter.
